Etymologically the word "science of hadith" is an absorption from Arabic, "Ilmu al-hadith" which consists two words, namely "science" and "hadith". If it refers to meaning hadith, means that science studies or discusses everything based on Prophet SAW, whether in form deeds, takrir others. you look at outline, divided into parts. First, Science Hadith History (riwayah) second, Imu Dirayat (dirayah).
